Based on The Stories of Bertie the Guinea Pig, Berties ABC is packed with flash cards, illustrations and sounds to introduce children to the alphabet. The app comes with a range of ways to learn and lots of fun:

• Berties ABC is a poem all about the alphabet and its free! Hear the whole poem or tap on the cards to look at each letter and illustration in turn.

• Letters & Sounds gives children the chance to take a more detailed look at the letters and listen to their phonetic sounds.

• The Carrot Quiz is a game which helps children become familiar with letters using sounds and illustrations. Each correct answer is rewarded with a carrot for Bertie!

• The Matching Pairs game presents a selection of cards, face down. Turn two cards at a time to find the matching letters. Each correct match plants a dandelion in the garden!

• Big & Small teaches the difference between upper and lower case versions of the same letter. Tap on the letter which is the opposite case to the one the app has given you and win some sweetcorn for Bertie.
